Sachida Nagdev (born 25 October 1939, in Ujjain, India) is a contemporary Indian artist. After learning painting with sign-painters in his early years. Nagdev went on to study at Bharti Kala Bhavan, Ujjain, with Dr. V.S. Wakankar, an archaeologist and artist. He graduated from Sir J. J. School of Art, Bombay in 1961 and received and M.A. in ancient Indian History and Culture in 1962. In 1970, he was awarded an M.A. in Painting from Vikram University, Ujjain. He lives and works in Bhopal. ==Career== Nagdev is best known for his abstract oil paintings in harmonious colors, though his later work includes some representational art including human figures. He has participated in around 40 exhibitions, in India, Nepal, Germany, Japan, and the UAE. His work is in many important collections, including the National Gallery of Modern Art in Delhi, India; and Contemporary Art Museum, Osaka, Japan. He has won numerous awards, starting with Shankars International Children's Art Competition in New Delhi in 1954 and 1955 and the Osaka Triennale's Yomiuri Telecasting Award. EDUCATION 1961 J.J.
